Needles Overlook |
||
| From the edge of the canyon, some 1500 feet above its floor, you can see the work of the Colorado and Green Rivers. | ||
The Anticline Overlook |
||
| Located 20 miles up a dirt road from the Needles Overlook, the Anticline Overlook views the Colorado River and Dead Horse Point. | ||

Incredible views await at the edge of the canyons carved by the Colorado and Green rivers. The drive to the Needles Overlook will take about twenty minutes and is a paved road. The extension to reach the Anticline Overlook will take another 20 minutes and is a graded but dirt road. I think that the Needles Overlook is the best feature in the area. If I am limited on time I will just do the Needles Overlook and then skip the Anticline Overlook, Needles and Newspaper Rock.
