Heading West from the Visitor Center we stop at the Canyon of Life and then view from the road the Newspaper Rock Panel and the surrounding panels on the ledges of this great outcropping.

By far my favorite panel in the canyon, this large image may have something to do with the cycle of life, common to us all.

Hunkup's Train

Hunkup, a Paiute Indian, recorded his journey back East more than 100 years ago. Trains were of special interest to him, as he carved them in great detail, showing in each case an engine, a freight or cattle car and a passenger car.
