If nothing else, take fifteen minutes to see the wonderful slide show at the museum. It gives you the words of Powell and the images of the river as you follow his historic trip down this mighty river. Then if you have time, view the exhibits and perhaps take some time to visit one of the best book and gift shops in the south part of the state. (Not necessarily the biggest but one of my favorites.)
