Grand Canyon National Park

One of the wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. I enjoy the canyon, but it is perhaps my least favorite park in Utah. It takes a long time to get there and unless you have plenty of time to hike into it and back, you spend a little time viewing the canyon from the rim and then you are ready to head off to your next site.

There are several really nice overlook on the North Rim. My favorite thing on the rim are the signs that tell you if your hair starts standing straight out from your head, get away from the edge because you are about to be hit by lightning.

The Lodge at the North Rim is by far my favorite place there. The deck (as seen in the top photograph) with its views of the canyon and places to sit and read a good book, are really great.
